Day 1: Tashkent - Chimgan Mountains - Tashkent
After arrival at the airport you will be met by our guide to start your tour in Uzbekistan. In the morning you will travel to Chimgan Mountains and the beautiful Charvak Lake. The Chimgan mountains and Charvak lake belong to the Ugam Chatkal National Park. One of the largest National Parks in Uzbekistan. The rest of the day you will get acquainted with the sights of Tashkent including Independence square, and Amir Timur square. Thehere is a walking street between two squares mamed the local Broadway, so-called show room for local artists and cozy place for tasting local cuisine. Night is in a hotel.
Day 2: Tashkent - Samarkand
Today you will be transferred to railway station for the train travel to Samarkand. Samarkand is the second largest city of Uzbekistan and is of the same age as the Babylon or Rome. Today you will visit Registan square, Shakhi-Zindeh, Guri Emir Mausoleum and Bibi Khanum Mosque. Registan Square, a complex of three fascinating Madrasahs dating back to 15-17th centuries. Architectural complex of Shakhi-Zindeh represents a big collection of mausoleums dating back to 11th-15 centuries being a part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The tours will end with visiting the Bibi Khanum Mosque, built in honor of Tamerlane's favorite wife, after his successful campaign in India. Overnight is at the hotel.
Day 3: Samarkand - Tashkent
Today you will continue exploring Samarkand city. You will visit Ulughbek observatory, built by Ulughbek, one of the most famous Samarkand rulers and scientists, famous not only in Uzbekistan but to the whole eastern world. On 1437 he created the "Zidji Guragoni" catalog, which had information about 1018 celestial bodies. We will walk along the Local Broadway surrounded by souvenir shops, teahouses, sweets and workshops, visit Siab oriental bazaar, where it is easy to find traditional handmade products and local sweets. Also you will see a unique handmade carpet factory where over 400 women creating carpets using traditional techniques. The tour will end with Samarkand paper workshop producing silk paper. Transfer to Tashkent. Night is in a hotel.
Day 4: Flight
Transfer to the airport.
